KT-SNC

Dongdaemun-gu FM Corp.

Lotte Mart, along with E-Mart and Homeplus, is one of Korea's leading Super Store brands and owns and manages 130 stores nationwide. It also has more than 150 stores overseas, including China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, the largest number of stores among domestic peers.

Total SEM is a leading outsourcing company in Korea that inspects and manages various sites nationwide, including large facilities such as Lotte World Mall and Lotte Mart, Daiso Stores, and Hyundai Motor Showrooms.

KT-SNC is a facility management company that inspects and manages various sites, including KT's hundreds of branch offices and one-person offices.

Dongdaemun-gu Facility Management Corporation is an excellent public corporation selected by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs for the fourth consecutive year and is the second-largest local public company in the country.

The biggest difficulty that Lotte Mart tried to solve was that it was difficult to operate a continuous and effective reporting system due to the high turnover rate of facility management companies.

Through Checkup, Lotte Mart computerized the inspection log and could access all stores' past and current data freely. The synchronized report formats also eliminated the need to check if they are using the up-to-date format.

Checkup also included a dashboard to monitor energy usage at each of 127 stores nationwide, providing a summary of energy usage information, reducing the burden on headquarters employees who need to collect data.

Lotte Mart stores range from new buildings to 30 years old buildings, but Checkup is contributing to increase the value of each store by collecting more data, minimize cost burden, and improve crisis management.

Total SEM started collaboration with Checkup after thinking a lot about differentiating itself from other competitors over a large management contract with Lotte L7 Hotel, which was scheduled to be completed in January 2016.

As a luxury hotel located in Myeong-dong, Lotte L7 Hotel felt the need for systematic and technical management of the building, and the real-time inspection report application and automatic report output provided by Checkup could be an important factor to enhance the quality of Total SEM's existing work.

Total SEM, which was able to provide a better management direction than existing management tasks through the introduction of Checkup and smart devices, beat several competitors to sign a contract with Lotte L7 Hotel on the premise of the introduction of Checkup.

As one of the largest telecommunications companies in Korea, KT wanted to systematically manage its facility assets such as branch offices and single-person buildings, and KT-SNC chose to Checkup as a solution.

Checkup has provided real-time inspection report application that includes photos, text, and voice files to 12 facilities in the Seoul metropolitan area, including KT Mokdong HQ, to improve the work environment, and is currently in the process of increasing the number of sites.

In the case of a one-person building, the manager residing in the site could directly conduct the inspection, and KT-SNC could check the real-time results which reduced  manpower and dispatch cost.

Dongdaemun-gu Facility Management Corporation continues to strive for a rich and happy life for residents and members, and decided to use Checkup under its slogan, "Facility Management to Create the Best Quality and Service."

Checkup application is designed to be easy for anyone regardless of age or experience through intuitive interface. Therefore, Dongdaemun-gu's user training and adaptation period for Checkup were very short, and it could be applied quickly to practice.

In particular, Dongdaemun-gu, which has various facilities such as public facilities, sports facilities, and parking facilities, had a lot of cumbersome paperwork.

The company has evaluated that the time and effort required to prepare on-site inspections, problem reports, and equipment history is greatly simplified.

"After collaborating with Checkup, it has become easier to collect and store data at various branches, and I think we can use it to help a lot in management decision-making."

"Through Checkup, we shared the systematic management performance with our customers and built trust."

"Checkup is expected to effectively manage even small sites and reduce the cost of dispatched personnel by more than 50 percent."

"By using Checkup products, we can take immediate action on the problem site by understanding the current status of various sites managed by Dongdaemun-gu."
